I’m not a huge 911 guy, but if I had a ton of money one of these beauties would probably end up in my stable.

I didn’t really think much of older 911s (although I still really like the 993) until I saw the Singer. I love the attention to detail in their approach and the fact that instead of making a hardcore, unusable street racer it’ll be a really fun car that’ll make you fizz and surrounds you in luxury.

I wonder if they've ever made any plain models - I'd be just as happy with their mechanical changes without needing all the fancy interior stuff.

If I had a half mil or more to spend on a car you can bet a Singer Porsche would be my first choice!

It would be cool if they started doing 1980s models.

Oh yeah, they are absolutely gorgeous cars. And when I say I’m not much of a 911 guy, I do like them, they are great cars, I’ve just never felt a connection to them. They just don’t seem to be the first sports car that comes to my mind when I think about sports cars. But Singer really does take them to the next level.

And you’re right, they seem to be very friendly and usable cars. In a way I like RWBs cars more for their bat shit insanity, but if I wanted a 911 I could live with, it would be a Singer.

if you threw them enough money, I bet it could be done.

I love them. I really do. But the amount of money they ask for them is just too much for something that isn’t a complete overhaul in both form and function. TBH I’d rather just own some older 911s and a bunch of other random shit too.

I can see that logic. I’d probably never have enough to own one, and there’s a lot of other fun stuff I could own for way less. But as I said, if I had gobs of money, one would probably find it’s way into my garage.

I’m not much of a 911 guy either, and if I had half a million I’d probably reluctantly pass up on a Singer and basically ‘Singerize’ an Alfa Montreal.

All the bits are there to do it. Race-derived V8 that in 3.0l race-trim made 440bhp (tune that down to 350-400bhp for the road). Could use a 75 transaxle for better weight distribution as well :)

Thanks :)

I’ve also got similar ideas with a Triumph Stag using two Dolomite Sprint heads and Sprint pistons to make a 3.3l 32v V8.

All pretty pie-in-the-sky though...
